The Society of Actuaries guest room block at Orlando World Center Marriott is filled. Guest rooms are available at the SpringHill Suites in the Marriott Village. This property is located about five miles from Orlando World Center Marriott. Marriott will be providing shuttle service between the two properties based on our schedule of activities. Reservations

Make your reservations by the reservation deadline of September 19, 2008. Reservations made after this deadline are subject to space and rate availability. Make your reservations by calling the hotel directly at 407.239.4200 or make your reservation online. If calling, make sure you mention you are attending the Society of Actuaries Annual Meeting.

A major credit card is required in order to make a reservation. Reservations may be cancelled with no penalty up to seven days prior to the date of arrival.

Early Departure Fee

When checking into the hotel you will be asked to confirm your departure date. At this time you may change your departure date without penalty. Any changes in the departure date after that may result in an early check-out fee of $100.

Confirmations

Confirmation of your hotel reservation will be sent directly by the hotel. If you have not received confirmation prior to your departure for Orlando, FL, please call the hotel to make sure your reservation is in order. Please mention your affiliation with the Society of Actuaries in all communication to ensure the correct handling of your reservation.

Hotel Check-In and Checkout

Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and checkout time is noon. Those arriving early may check their bags with the bell desk in the hotel lobby.

Hotel/Airport Transportation

The Orlando World Center Marriott Resort is 12 miles from Orlando International Airport. Taxi fare is approximately $40.

Mears Transportation operates shuttle service to/from the resort and the Orlando Airport. Tickets may be purchased at the Mears desk on the baggage level of the airport and cost $31 round trip per adult and $23 per child (ages 4-11) ($19 adult and $15 child one-way). Children under 4 ride for free. Reservations from the resort to the airport are required four hours prior to airline departure time. Reservations from the airport to the resort are not necessary in advance as shuttle operates 24 hours per day and leave every 15-20 minutes. The World Center is the first stop from the airport.

Parking

Both on-site self-parking and valet parking are available at the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort at fees ranging from $7 to $18 daily. Rates are subject to change.
