Call for Speakers

The Society of Actuaries Program Committee is currently seeking presenters for the SOA 08 Annual Meeting and Exhibit.

Please see the attached listing which indicates the sessions needing presenters.

Sessions indicated as “Entirely Unrecruited” and “Partially Recruited” need presenters. If identified as “Recruiting Complete”, this means the session is fully recruited and no longer needs additional presenters. This listing contains only sessions needing presenters and recent “Fully Recruited” sessions. All other fully recruited sessions are not included in this listing.

If you are interested in volunteering your time as a presenter for the SOA 08 Annual Meeting & Exhibit, please contact Amy Wojcik. She will provide you with the name and contact information for the person coordinating the session, so that you can discuss your possible participation further with that person.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

1. Enthusiasm to share expertise with colleagues
2. Willingness to make new contacts
3. Support and maintain the educational objective of the session
4. Ability to enhance the educational value through providing handouts (a copy of your presentation, outline or bullet points posted on the web prior to the meeting) which are expected by attendees.

8/18/08 – Recruiting Deadline to be listed in the Final Program
9/19/08 – Presentations Due for Review and posting on the SOA Web site
